Our client, Chewy, is seeking professionals in Bellevue, WA. Apply via Lensa today! Our Opportunity Chewy is looking for a Data Engineer I to join our growing Transportation Systems team. You will work alongside passionate engineers and gain hands-on experience in data engineering, building data pipelines, ETL processes, and managing data warehouses. The ideal candidate should be interested in cloud databases, data ingestion using various methods (including non-SQL technologies like SOAP and REST), and integrating datasets from cloud sources into a centralized database. What You'll Do Develop and maintain data pipelines for ETL processes into our data lake. Configure custom data pipelines within Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks. Maintain real-time alerting and debugging tools. Design and implement solutions on cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Support and develop within the Supply Chain - Transportation Data Mart in Snowflake, including code review, performance tuning, and security. Create and update technical documentation and data models for the Data Mart. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts clearly. Proficiency in SQL and relational databases. Python skills for data processing and pipeline development. Experience with ETL processes. Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts. Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS services like S3, Lambda, and Airflow. Experience with version control systems like Git. Bonus Experience translating ambiguous requirements into clear solutions. Experience leading analytical projects. Knowledge of Python data libraries (pandas, numpy). Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark). Understanding of data modeling. The salary may vary based on experience, education, and location.
