Generator Shop Technician Opportunity Summary:

Generator Shop Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, diagnosing preventive maintenance and emergency services on standby power generation equipment.

Job Duties:

  • Service, repair, modify, diagnose, and rebuild standby power generators ranging from 8.5kw–3500kw.
  • Perform failure analysis, service, and/or repairs.
  • Service a variety of power generation equipment and air compressors.
  • Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling, and electrical systems.
  • Operation of load banks and recording of instrumentation.
  • Clean, check, recondition, and determine the reusability of used parts.
  • Keep current with product changes, specifications, and updates.
  • Compile all repair, maintenance, and estimates for the above-listed duties.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, and compressors).
  • EGSA Certification (Preferred).
  • Computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
