Medical Receptionist Opportunity

We are looking for a personable and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team in Norwalk, Connecticut. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing front-office operations, ensuring smooth patient interactions, and maintaining an efficient flow of administrative tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a detail-oriented and welcoming front-office experience.

  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting necessary documentation and payments.
  • Maintain and update patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing information and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Support the medical team by organizing and managing administrative tasks effectively.
  • Monitor office supplies and ensure the reception area remains clean and well-organized.
  • Utilize basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Assist in coordinating insurance verifications and billing processes as needed.
  • Address patient concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Requirements:

    • Proven experience in a medical front-office or receptionist role.
    • Knowledge of patient scheduling systems and ability to manage appointments efficiently.
    • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and healthcare administrative practices.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
    • Proficiency in managing multi-line phone systems and handling inquiries professionally.
    • Attention to detail and organizational abilities for maintaining accurate patient records.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical administration are a plus.
