About the Role

EisnerAmper is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a Director to expand our Real Estate Tax practice. This role offers the opportunity to join a high-performing, growing team working with complex clients in the real estate industry, focusing on private equity funds. Responsibilities include developing new business, servicing existing clients, thought leadership, technology initiatives, and mentoring staff. Our goal is to help clients become operationally efficient and structure successful transactions to attract capital, initiate projects, and maximize returns. We foster relationships within the industry, facilitate deal flow, and share marketplace insights through events like the annual EisnerAmper Real Estate Private Equity Summits.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor legislative and administrative updates affecting real estate, REITs, private equity, and debt funds, and develop related content.
• Provide expertise in partnership taxation, transactional analysis, and structuring of real estate assets and funds.
• Coordinate with transaction teams and maintain relationships with legal firms.
• Advise on like-kind exchanges, reverse exchanges, and tax implications of real estate transactions.
• Review fund documents and economic agreements for tax implications.
• Stay informed on industry trends and communicate insights internally and externally.
• Represent the firm at industry events and media engagements.
• Develop training and moderate panels for professional education.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of recent tax consulting experience.
• CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent certification.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with Real Estate Private Equity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Taxation or related field.
• Experience with GoSystems or CCH Axcess software.
